I was lacking motivation, no confidence to go to the gym as I had no clue what to do. I would go to classes lose a few pounds get fed up and put it back on again.
I previously went to PTs and lost weight but had no guidance nutrition wise and always felt like I was on a diet and sometimes avoiding events cause I had to eat "clean". This just lead to putting weight on again.
Since working with Dave I'm the lightest weight I have been in years. Down 18 kgs and 3 dress sizes. I have been on numerous holidays and never avoid events now and I am still losing weight. Generally overall I feel fitter and have much more energy.
The best thing was weight loss. My strength has improved greatly, before I started the program I could hardly do push ups on my knees and struggled to squat with just the bar, now I lift double that and do full push ups. I feel better in myself appearance wise, clothes fit me much better and I don't dread that nothing will fit me right when I go shopping. My overall fitness has improved so much before I would struggle to run even 1 km. I have a lot more energy too.
I would 100% recommend Dave. I have worked with other PTs and attended numerous gym classes and this is by far the best. The actual exercise is only about 2 hours a week. Dave is very encouraging and always pushes to get the most out of each session. His approach to nutrition is great he never says no to any food choices. I don't binge on food anymore because I don't deprive myself of foods I like. My partner recently signed up for a nutrition plan he trains hard and his weight loss had come to stop. Dave made him a plan and he has lost 2 kgs and eating more then he ever has.

"Working an office job over the last 8 years, I had become less physically active. Before I started working with Dave, I felt permanently tired, had bad sleep habits and low mood most of the time. Having put on extra weight and feeling unfit made me not feel comfortable in my body either. I often put off physical activities because I felt too unfit for it. My diet was also very irregular and I often did not eat anything until the evening, when I ate and snacked a lot.
From the challenge, first of all I got on the right track on how to get started with planning my food better and the exercise plans obviously. The results have been great.
I am less tired during the day and my sleep has improved. Apart from the exercise, I am also more active again and go out for walks etc. instead of hanging around on the couch after work.
